She walked around a little longer, seeing if there was anything else of value. Walking past the workout facilities, she shined the light in and stopped. Her health was important to her, and in the past, she always used the gyms at hotels.
“A different life,” she whispered like she was at a funeral trying to show reverence. “A different life,” she repeated, beginning to fully comprehend that her old life was over. There was no going back. Old habits, old securities, it was all gone. Even completing their upcoming mission wasn’t ever going to put things back to the way they were. “Come on, Angela. Hold it together.”
