Who is the storyteller of our lives?

Is it the brain?

Its neurons firing ions to form thought, memories.

Chemicals and electricity forcing infinitesimal cells to communicate at hundreds of billions per second.

But is it the chronicler?

Maybe the symbolic heart.

Capable of creating love, hate, joy, grief, jealousy, peace from nothing.

The fabric of life represented by emotional reactions to catalysts haphazardly entering and exiting.

Is this the teller of our tales?

Perhaps the soul.

An energy infinite in nature.

Accompanying us from before we were.

Being us when we no longer are.

Is it the narrator?

Words spoken within us endlessly.

A flux of kindness, ego, understanding, and ignorance.

The mind, heart, soul.

With one, all is incomplete.

As one, all become the author.

Adept at turning, twisting, and accepting the story.

Writing chapters as a child who plays make believe.

The power given to create the novel of us into reality.
